terms of service

The short version: HeySwaey is a Mac app you can try free (10 tries) and subscribe to monthly (Pro or Max). Payments are handled by Paddle. Cancel anytime. Swaey asks before doing anything risky, but you're in charge of what it does on your Mac.

1. who we are

HeySwaey (“HeySwaey”, “we”, “us”) makes the HeySwaey app for macOS and runs heyswaey.com. You can reach us at hello@heyswaey.com. By downloading, installing or using HeySwaey, or by buying a plan, you agree to these terms.

2. the app and your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use HeySwaey on Macs you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer (except where the law allows it), or use HeySwaey to build a competing service.

3. free tries and plans

  • Free: 10 tries of voice commands and voice typing, run on your Mac. The notch shelf, clipboard history and music controls stay free.
  • Pro ($15 a month) and Max ($100 a month) add Swaey's AI and the natural voice. Prices on our site are in US dollars; Paddle may show and charge an equivalent local price, plus tax where it applies.
  • Each paid plan includes a monthly AI allowance that resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). Max includes about 7× Pro's. The app shows how much you've used. If you reach it, the AI pauses until it resets or until you move to Max; everything that runs on your Mac keeps working.

4. payments, renewals and cancelling

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime in HeySwaey → Settings → Plan → Manage Subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for.
  • Switching between Pro and Max takes effect straight away; Paddle charges or credits the difference for the rest of that month.
  • If we change a plan's price, we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.

5. refunds

See our refund policy: 14 days, no questions asked.

6. your account

You sign in with your email address (we email you a link; there's no password). Keep access to that inbox secure: whoever can read it can sign in. A plan belongs to one person; you may use it on all your own Macs.

7. acceptable use

Don't use HeySwaey to break the law, to harm, harass or spam others, to try to get around plan limits or our security, to overload our service, or to generate content that our AI providers' usage policies (Anthropic, OpenAI) prohibit. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. the ai, and what it does on your mac

Swaey uses AI models that can be wrong. Check important answers, and review what Swaey is about to do before you confirm it. By default Swaey asks before risky actions such as sending, deleting or buying; you can change that in Settings, and if you do, you accept that it will act without asking. You are responsible for the actions you ask Swaey to take and for the content you send through it.

9. other services

HeySwaey relies on other companies to work: Anthropic and OpenAI (the AI), ElevenLabs (the natural voice), Paddle (payments), Cloudflare (our server and website) and Resend (sign-in emails). Our privacy policy explains what each one receives. We aren't responsible for outages on their side, but we'll do our best to keep HeySwaey working.

10. updates and availability

HeySwaey updates itself. We may add, change or remove features over time. We work hard to keep the service available but can't promise it will never be interrupted.

11. disclaimers and liability

HeySwaey is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data or profits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

12. ending

You can stop using HeySwaey and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms; if we end a paid plan without cause, we'll refund the unused part.

13. changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use HeySwaey afterwards means you accept the new terms.
